Firelight, fiddle strings, and optional late rooms.

Nights

Evenings at Aldermoor Lodge unfold slowly — board games in the ridge lounge, acoustic sets by the hearth, and lantern walks when the sky clears. For guests who also seek brighter districts downhill, we sit within easy reach of regional nightlife while keeping the lodge itself a calm casino destination in spirit: alpine quiet first, optional entertainment second.

Evening Culture

Hearth Sessions

Thursday through Saturday, local musicians play fiddle, guitar, and bodhrán in The Hearth Room from 8:00 p.m. Seating is first-come; cider and whisky available from Timber Bar.

Story & Board Hour

Sunday evenings, a host reads valley folklore while guests play chess, backgammon, and handmade card games at the long tables. Complimentary tea service.

Lantern Ridge Walk

Guided twenty-minute loop along the ridge path when weather permits. Departures at 9:00 p.m. from the lodge porch; stargazing notes provided on clear nights.

Reading Nook

The second-floor alcove stays lit until 11:00 p.m. with a shelf of mountain journals, maps, and guest-left paperbacks. Silence honoured.

Ember Den — Optional 18+ Gaming Room

The Ember Den is a separate wing below the Timber Bar, reached by its own entrance and staffed independently of the front desk. It offers table games and slot-style machines for amusement only — cash play on premises under house rules, never online through this website.

Important: Entry requires valid government photo ID proving legal age (18+ where permitted by local law). The Ember Den is entirely optional. You do not need to visit it to stay at Aldermoor Lodge, dine, or use the sauna. No real-money wagering is offered or accepted on this website.

Play Responsibly

A Mountain Pace After Dark

Most guests choose one rhythm: dinner, a walk or music, then sleep with the windows cracked to hear the creek. Others drive down-valley for brighter venues and return for late soup in the Valley Kitchen on Fridays. However you spend the hours, the lodge keeps quiet corridors and dimmed path lights so rest remains possible.
